Wonderwood is a magnificent world full of brave adventurers, exciting quests, and magical wonders. Unfortunately, it doesn’t actually exist, but you will get to explore it through our immersive experiences.
What’s Wonderwood Springs?
Wonderwood Springs is a new immersive fantasy cafe experience that transports you from Portland and into the magical realm of Wonderwood. From morning to night, enjoy a wide variety of coffee, snacks, sandwiches, and a fine selection of local beer and wine at our magical fantasy tavern.
What was The Scourge of Castle Maplehold?
The Scourge of Castle Maplehold was a delightful and humorous chapter in the immersive adventure space next to the cafe. Guests played the role of heroic adventurer in a world that came alive with vibrant environments, expressive characters, and vivid lighting.
How long does it take to complete the immersive experience?
You can move through the experience at your own pace, but it will take about half an hour to work your way through the entire experience.
Am I going to get scared?
Nothing in the experience is designed or intended to jump out or otherwise scare or startle you in any way.
What happens after Maplehold?
You’ll have to come back in Spring of 2023 to find out…
Is Wonderwood for kids or adults?
Both! We’ve designed this experience to bring joy to people of all ages.
Are dogs allowed in the immersive area?
While it can be fun to go on adventures with your animal companions, we ask that you please leave all furry familiars at home. Service animals are allowed.
Cafe Experience
When is the cafe open?
Open Tuesday-Sunday, 8am to 8pm. Closed Monday.
Can I visit just the cafe?
Of course!
Does the cafe sell Wonderwood merchandise?
Yes, it features a wide variety of clothing, stickers, accessories, and other merchandise.
Do you serve fantasy themed drinks?
We wouldn't be a fantasy tavern without them! We have a seasonal menu of rotating fun and fantastical coffees, teas, and ciders.
Do you offer breakfast and lunch?
Yes! We offer snacks, and a selection of sandwiches and burritos for both breakfast and lunch.
Do you have vegan and vegetarian food options?
Yes! The menu has both vegan and vegetarian options.
Is there outdoor seating?
Yes, there is an outdoor seating area in the alley between Wonderwood and Wonderwood Springs
Are dogs allowed in the cafe?
Service animals are allowed inside the cafe, and all dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.
Preparing your visit
Do I need to buy tickets or book in advance?
No, you can purchase admission at the door. Tickets have a suggested price of $8 (children 5 and under free).
When is the immersive space open?
Tuesday - Sunday, 11am -7pm.
Is there parking space?
There is limited on-site parking, but ample street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
Can I use public transportation?
We highly encourage you to visit us using public transportation! You can reach the neighborhood via the 4, 11, 44, and 75 TriMet Bus Lines.
Accessibility & COVID protocols
Is the immersive experience accessible?
Yes, there is ramp access both in and out of the space, with wide movement paths and no stairs.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes. Masks are required for all staff and visitors, but you are allowed to politely take your mask down to enjoy beverages purchased at Wonderwood Springs.
